The United Nations report on Industrial Livestock Production and Global Health Risks shows that industrial livestock production plays an important part in the emergence of highly pathogenic influenza and other diseases. The US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), shared that 75% of emerging diseases start in animal populations. How we raise our animals has and will continue to spread pathogens within animal AND human communities...
I believe this pandemic needs to be a time we reconsider if we want to keep such high risks of further outbreaks. I discuss in this short podcast reasons why.
